A forwarder can give a more relevant response when the enquiry includes cargo type, measurements, origin, destination and timing. Explain any deadline or unusual handling need at the start.

Compare the same scope

Ask which transport legs, handling stages and delivery arrangements are included. Check the rate validity and exclusions. A lower transport figure may cover fewer stages than another quote.

Ask how changes are handled

What happens if packed dimensions differ? Who should you contact if the ready date moves? When does the quotation become a booking? Ask for these details before confirming the booking.

Check any special requirements

If your goods need special packing, permits or handling, ask whether the forwarder can arrange them. Get acceptance confirmed for your goods and destination before booking.
